The meeting was held between BAC, the Mayor and GTS to pave the way forward of the CCTV project.  GTS gave a presentation on how to use the existing infrastructure owned by the Municipality for close circuit television camera system and by further committing to cover the cost of high fibre cable installation which is +- R12m.  GTS already has a CCTV project running at Tswane.

The Mayor requested BAC that both parties do a site visit to GTS’s CCTV project in Tswane.  The finalization of the MOU will be put on hold up until all processes and procedures are followed on the Municipalities side.  At the press conference held on 16 November 07, the Mayor committed himself to resuscitate the CCTV project and the commitment from the police was highlighted by Commissioner Masemola through his address.
