Community involvement project was launched at Esikhawini where CPF & SAPS members put up boards with crime prevention messages. Boards can be clearly seen at the entrance and exit of Esikhawini, Empangeni, Dlangezwa, Ngwelezane and Richards Bay. Unfortunately the board that was allocated to Enseleni landed up in Richards Bay due to electric poles at Enseleni still have wires running down and this posses a risk. |

The street pole advertising was warmly welcomed by the community and this office has been requested to erect more street pole advertising. RBM came on board and sponsored (10) ten boards for Kwa-Mbonambi area.
Crime prevention articles are sent to various companies i.e. Foskor, RBM, Hillside and Bayside Aluminium, to be featured in their newsletters on a monthly basis. In conjunction with BAC Zululand the City of uMhlathuze will be hosting a fun run followed by a crime awareness campaign that will be addressing the issue of “abuse of women and children” at Esikhawini. |
